Epsom Villa

Restoration of the verandah included working with specialist wood turners to reproduce the original posts and detailing. An additional post was added to create a more balanced appearance, while the handrail and 65mm balustrades were constructed in a larger profile to replicate the substantial depth of the original villa.

A specialist, highly stable timber product was used for the verandah rather than traditional pine. The material has minimal shrinkage and cupping and is equivalent to an H5 treatment, making it particularly suitable for low-level verandahs exposed to ground moisture.
